Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi Selects Open Information Systems for New Web Portal and IPA Back Office

Web-Based Application Enables Premier International Banking Institution to Enhance Customer Service and Reduce Operational Costs

SANDY HOOK, CT, January 30th, 2002 - Open Information Systems, a leading provider of Web Enablement and Corporate Trust Accounting systems, announced today that Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Trust Co.'s Corporate Trust division recently contracted for the licensing and installation of OIS' Information Manager™ and Money Market Manager™ software products.

Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Trust (parent:The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd.) will use OIS Information Manager™ to provide a consolidated Web Portal for the bank's administrative service clients. The new Portal will power the bank's Corporate Trust, Custody, Security Lending and Cash Management business lines. Using this new tool, bank clients will be able to access their accounts in real time, request custom reports and data files and securely enter transactions.

OIS was also selected by the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi to provide Money Market Manager™ as a new Issuer Paying Agent Corporate Trust administrative solution for the bank. Money Market Manager is the first, all new, Issuer Paying Agent delivered to the market in the past ten years and uses Internet technologies to provide secure client and internal access while minimizing rollout and support costs.

In addition to the licensed software products, OIS is providing Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi with a basket of system integration and development services. The implementation of the new gateway and administrative systems will take approximately six months and will be completed by June 2002.

"Our partnership with OIS enables BTM to rapidly introduce the state- of- the-art Internet services required to best serve our clients", said Takao Kunitomo (Vice President & Manager, Trust & Fiduciary Group). "OIS is solving two problems for the bank: the creation of a portal providing a single access point to all our Corporate services and the replacement of our legacy CP and MTN administration system. The OIS team is very impressive: within a day of getting our data, our test system was populated and ready for our staff to begin their testing".

Information Manager is part of a family of products offered by OIS to serve the B2B needs of major financial institutions. "Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi's selection of an Open Information Systems' solution is further confirmation of our leading position in the Corporate Trust software market," according to Tom McMackin, Co-founder and Chairman of Open Information Systems. "We have recently earned engagements with some of the top firms in this arena. Corporate Trust providers must renovate their legacy systems to stay competitive and our innovative NT and Browser based solutions are attracting the industry's attention with their flexibility and low operating costs".

"Information Manager is a breakthrough application for global institutions, enabling their institutional service department to increase revenue, reduce operational costs and improve communications to their clients", went on McMackin. "This reflects the fact that we provide a total solution: reporting, transaction entry, data warehousing, entitlement, and branding combined with our system integration services".
